LA plans for this season for Gavin Lux

In 2023, Andrew Friedman is expecting things to be in good shape for Gavin Lux.

There was a lot of ambiguity about where L.A.'s shortstop would go over the summer. The Dodgers did not spend any money on any of the four All-Star free agents, despite the expectations of some fans and analysts.

All indications were that Gavin luxe. He was the first overall pick of the Los Angeles Angels in the 2016draft.

According to Andrew Friedman for the Dodgers, Lux would be the standout player they selected with their first round choice. Friedman said he would be "in the middle" of what L.A. will do in future seasons and that much of the expectation for the Lux in 2023 is "in the middle."

The 25-year-old enjoyed his greatest season as a professional before developing neck problems that prevented him from playing in the second half of the 2022 season.

Prior to the injury, Lux had a decent season, batting .293with a .368 on-base percentage and a career-high number of games batted in.

If he doesn't play poorly or get injured, the shortstop from Kenosha will establish himself as the team's starting shortstop for the LA Dodgers for the foreseeable future.
