There is a historic mansion called Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.

It was built in the late 19th century by George Washington Vanderbilt II, a member of the wealthy Vanderbilt family.

It took six years and over 1,000 men to complete the construction of the Biltmore Estate.

The estate was designed by two of the most renowned architects of the time, architect Richard Morris Hunt

Spread over four acres of land, this palace with more than 250 rooms is a beautiful example of chateaux construction in itself.

The property also has a winery, a farm, a village and extensive grounds, including a formal rose garden.

George Vanderbilt amassed a large collection of artwork and antiques for the estate.

He also developed extensive gardens on the estate, which included a conservatory.

When Vanderbilt died in 1914, his grandson and daughter took over the estate.
