- Tim David is a Singapore-born Australian cricketer, who plays for the Australian national cricket team primarily as a middle-order batter. Earlier, he played international cricket for the Singapore national cricket team.
- He was born in Singapore and raised in Perth, Australia. His father, who is of Australian origin, relocated to Singapore in the 1990s to work as an engineer. His parents shifted back to Australia when Tim was 2 years old in the wake of the 1997 Asian financial crisis.
- As a child, Tim often accompanied his father to the Creswell Park and Belvista Oval cricket grounds, where his father played fourth-grade cricket for Claremont-Nedlands Cricket Club (CNCC). Besides that, his father was also the head of the local MILO Have-A-Go youth cricket program. In an interview, while talking about it, Tim said,
“That’s my earliest memory: being down at Creswell Park and Belvista Oval, which is our second ground, from when I was three years old.”
- Watching his father play cricket, Tim too developed an interest in the game and became a part of the Claremont-Nedlands Cricket Club’s (CNCC) Under-10 team when he was just 8 years old.
- In 2018, Tim David signed a contract with Western Australia and played for Western Australia Under 23 and Western Australia XI teams. However, he never got an opportunity to play as a senior player.
- Although Tim signed a Big Bash contract with Perth Scorchers, he hardly got to play regular matches for the team.
