- Hina Khan was born into a middle-class family in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
- Hina studied at a school in Kashmir till 5th grade after which she completed her schooling at City Montessori School in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
- She once aspired to be a journalist but could not pursue it.
- During her college days, Hina worked in a call center, where her base salary was Rs. 25,000 per month. She earned her first paycheck of Rs. 45,000 due to incentives she received from collecting significant debts from clients. While talking about this in an interview, she said,
“ Some girls I knew in my PG used to work at a call center, and they used to make good money. They said we just call people and tell them to pay our debt. I said ‘Bas? Dhamkana hai, Hadkana hai? (You just have to threaten them, berate them)? I can do it. Over there also, the first month I was the highest collector on the floor.”
