Her father Bhawani Singh was an entrepreneur and an officer in the Indian army and her mother Padmini Devi, was the princess of Srimur a princely state of British India she is the only child of her parents.

She completed her education in Fine arts decorative Painting Diploma from Parsons Art and Design, School, London, and on 6 August 1997, she got married to a commoner, Narendra Singh Rajawat, who is a chartered accountant and also runs a construction business and together they have three children.

She started her political journey with the BJP in 2013. She is actively associated with several NGOs and charity organizations including the Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan. In 2019 she was elected as a member of parliament from Rajasthan’s Rajsamand constituency, with a huge victory margin of nearly 70%.
