Suhani Bhatnagar (2004-2024) was an Indian child actress who gained attention for her portrayal of young Babita Kumari in the superhit Bollywood film Dangal. She died on 17 February 2024 in Delhi.
Her last rites were done at Ajronda crematorium in Sector 15, Faridabad.
She died on 17 February 2024 at the age of 19 years at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. Reportedly, her leg got fractured which later got an infection due to which she passed away.
She later took a break from acting to focus on her studies and planned to return to acting after completing her formal education.
She was selected from 11,000 girls for the role and earned praise for her acting. She also took 6 months’ leave from school to shoot for the film.
In 2016, she got a breakthrough role in the film Dangal as the child of Babita Kumari.
Suhani had often said that she would return to acting after completing her formal education.
She liked playing chess, singing, and dancing during her free time.
Suhani has worked as a model and has done various print ads, TV commercials, catalog shoots, and videos.
Her portrayal of young Babita Phogat garnered widespread acclaim, earning her the Star Screen Award for Best Child Actor.
