The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai detained Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal. He was taken from Delhi to be questioned about the suspected Rs 538 crore fraud against Canara Bank. This arrest follows Goyal’s failure to appear before the ED after receiving two summonses concerning the matter.
September 2023 Arrest
The ED arrested Goyal in September 2023 after questioning him for 8 to 10 hours. An FIR had been filed against Goyal based on a complaint by Canara Bank.
